Taking Down The Stroke Count

March 10th, 2010

If you are reading over this particular article, than you might be concerned with the subtle differences that you can make to improve your golf game. If you are serious about the sport, than you can understand how landing even a stroke or two less than your personal best can make a considerable difference in your confidence.

So, by using this article, you can presumably learn how to break 80 on the course. If you are new to the game, this is referring to your stroke count on a particular course. This is the level that some of the professionals are playing at, and so achieving this can actually be rather tricky and some may never accomplish it at all. Still, you would be closer than you were before.

You have to think of it this way: a golfer is a golfer on the course, and no where else. So why bring the problems and concerns that exist outside of the course on there with you? But that is what happens, and stress and worry consume what would otherwise be great shots. If you can’t concentrate, you aren’t doing yourself any favors.

The best thing for you to do is to attempt to handle these stresses as best you can before you really get down to playing golf seriously. In some cases, this is something as simple as picking up the house before you leave for the day, and running your Dyson DC17 vacuum. This will keep you from fretting about the condition of your house while you are hitting the links.

You should also concern yourself with looking like a golfer. Most of the attire for your game isn’t meant to just look a certain way, but to improve upon your game. While I am sure you aren’t hitting the course in a leather jacket and leather brown boots, you might as well be if you aren’t sure of yourself out there in what you are wearing. You need to be comfortable in order to make complex and intricate shots.

There is a good bit to consider when it comes to how you dress and appear on the course. You have to consider everything from your feet to the top of your head, and there is a good bit of options. One thing that I might recommend is to take after a golfer that impresses you or you have learned from. Determine how they are dressing, and do your best to form your own version of this.

So if you are among the countless people looking to vastly improve the way that they play the game of golf, there are certainly some things that you could do. While these suggestions might not make you a pro, they might give you the capacity to knock some strokes of your round, which can make a huge difference in your confidence.
